Spanish marinated spicy pork (Picadillo)

Spanish marinated spicy pork (Picadillo)

Receta en español aquí

This is a Spanish recipe  from my mother-in-law to cook  spicy pork, full of flavor, tasty and easy. It is typical from Castilla y León, from where she is.
You can only prepare this dish in winter, when it's cold,  because the meat needs to marinate with the spices,  out of the fridge in a cold place, around two days.

Tzatziki - Yogurt and Cucumber Sauce

Today I’m bringing you a quick and easy sauce recipe: the tzatziki.

The tzatziki is a yogurt and cucumber sauce typical of the Greek and Turkish cuisine, served cold as an accompaniment to other dishes. It is one of the sauces that I like the most and we often use it to accompany burgers, keftas, salads, kebabs ...

This is my homemade version.

Excalibur canapes

Receta en español aquí

Ingredients

A bag of Bocabits (Spanish wheat snacks)
1 Greek yogurt without sugar
2 pickled green chillies (Guindillas) without seeds
Cheese in slices (havarti)
Chive
Fish roes, black

Toothpicks (instead of swords)

Directions

Remove the seeds from the pickled green chillies, chop finely the chillies and blend with the Greek yoghurt. Set aside.
Put together 3 or 4 slices of cheese and cut squares, big enough to place the bocabit and the toothpick.

Assemble all canapes but without the filling.

Fill the canapes with the yoghurt and chilli sauce just before serving, so the bocabits are crunchy. Garnish with chive and fish roes. And enjoy!
